Avanza is a globally inspired band that is making a unique splash in the Boston music scene. We're doing this by introducing audiences to the world musical stylings and international cultural influences they could never find. Our approach is to take contemporary pop and infuse it with traditional musical influences from Spain, Latin America, and other parts of the world. We sing in multiple languages, including: English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Hindi, and more! We do this so as many people as possible can see themselves represented and share in our music. Our goal is to make a change in the Boston music scene by getting more people to fall in love with Spanish, Latin, and world music and bring people of all backgrounds together to hear a part of their identity represented in a way that anyone can appreciate.  

We have played at numerous venues including Sam Adams Brewery, Oyster Fest in Long Island NY, the Roslindale Farmer's Market, The Square Root Café, The Cantab Lounge, and countless private events. The band recognizes that Spanish and Latin music is under-represented in the Boston music scene and is continually inspired by the Spanish speaking community that has come out to support us. Spanish and Latin music has enriched our lives profoundly and provided the opportunity for us to share it in a new and innovative form. It has also allowed us to meet so many friendly and supportive members of the Boston community who love this music and want to share in our mission.
